Will Barnes is the author of two books of poetry and several essays. His second book, the artemisia, was selected as the 2022 national winner of the Hillary Gravendyk Prize from the Inlandia Institute. Winner of the 2022 Herbert Prize from Oberon Review and the 2022 Julia Darling Memorial Prize from Ocotillo Review his recent work has also been published in Comstock, Crab Creek, Ilanot, Mudfish, and Sixfold Reviews. Raised in Colorado, he recently retired as an ecologist for the New Mexico State Land Office and now splits time between Santa Fe and Olympia, Washington.
